Streetstyle Photography: Capturing the Wild

Fashion Streetstyle is never about snapping what people wear. I mean, of course - it is, but it’s such a small part of what it is really about. For me, it’s about documenting the real fashion, how it looks like in the wild; about capturing the trends being defined within the pulse of the city; about the creative synergy and important political statements. Well, living in Paris and working as a photographer makes it impossible to miss such an event.

Besides its historical importance in the fashion world, streetstyle photography is quite a challenge. And I loooove challenges. I mean who doesn’t enjoy being getting soaked in Parisian rain while dodging buses to capture the perfect shot ?

And don’t make me mention a mental workout it gives you for your reaction time and stress resilience. Standing in a sea of photographers all snapping the same scene ? You better be joking, right ? 

Miu Miu

Deliver me a beautiful sunny day, show me where to find beautiful fashion show guests and I will be there in a minute with my camera. Miu Miu show was a streetstyle treat, I enjoyed every moment of it.

Mugler

Remember I told you above about soaking wet to the bones, being afraid to be hit by a bus etc ? That was Mugler show. I know, I should have brought a raincoat.

Schiaparelli

Atmosphere like no other: crowds assembling on the Place Vendome to witness guests’ approach to style the iconic Schiaparelli pieces. 

Balenciaga

A bit of rain and a lot of black outfits. Crossed the road probably for a hundred of times trying to get the shot while being yelled at by traffic regulators. Haha classic.
